What do you need to look for when you are searching for a reliable Canadian online pharmacy? Most of the information you
need to look for should be on the home page of the pharmacy's website. Other pages you want to look for are a "Contact Us" page,
a "How to Order" explanation, and a "Frequently Asked Questions" or "FAQ" page.
Here is a quick checklist of what to look for:
- Look for the provincial pharmacy number. You should be able to find the name of the pharmacy that is filling orders along with
the pharmacy manager's name and license number.
- Pharmacies in Canada are governed by a provincial College of Pharmacists. Most online pharmacies will give you contact
information for their provincial college.
- You should also be able to contact the pharmacy about any questions you have. Check for a "Contact Us" section that provides
a mailing address, toll free telephone number, and a means of reaching the pharmacy or customer service department online.
- Look for the CIPA (Canadian International Pharmacy Association) seal of approval as an added verification of safety and quality.
- Make sure the pharmacy requires a prescription from your doctor for any prescription medications you want to order.
- Be sure the pharmacy requires a medical profile that asks for medication allergies and other medications you are taking so
that the pharmacist can check for potential drug interaction problems.
